The benefits of exercise are available at any age, so we offer a variety of programs for our senior members. Most join for the exercise, but they find that their improved outlook and new friendships keep them coming back three times a week.

Arthritis Classes

This joint-friendly water exercise program is approved by the Arthritis Foundation, but it also benefits individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, fibromyalgia, hip and knee replacements and other medical conditions. Held in the warmer therapy pool, members find their range of motion and strength are much greater in the water than out of it.

The arthritis class is offered at seven different times. Besides the physical benefits, members appreciate the support of their classmates during class and at their monthly lunches.

Silver Sneakers

The Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is the newest addition to the center’s list of Senior services. Silver Sneakers offers a unique blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyles and social oriented programming that enables older adults to take greater control of their health. It is available at no additional cost to individuals who belong to Participating Medicare health plans or Medicare Supplement carriers. Young At Heart

Young At Heart features low-impact, low-intensity aerobics and yoga classes that cater to seniors. Along with building strength and endurance, these classes also build relationships. Many members have more fun than they can squeeze into an hour’s class, so they schedule regular luncheons and occasional field trips.
